PMSL. Even your scouse brothers will laugh at that. Not even top 3 in premiership.

Given
Friedel
Cech
VDS
Reina.

In that order.

You know I'm not that biased mate but Reina last season was phenomenal. He had a better season than all 4 that you mention, IMO. I'm happy to say that Gerrard was shat and would critique any other player but Reina was magnificent.

I've nevere understood it with Reina, I've never seen a game and thouygh "he kept them in that" or "if it wasn't for Reina they'd have lost" Granted you watch alot more games than me though.

Sthelens RLFC wrote:Football is all about opinions. ATEOTD Hibbert has never had a sniff of England recognition and no teams seem to have ever come in for him. Young has had both, in abundace. I know he isn't top drawer but I'd rather have him over Hibbert. You wouldn't, fair enough.

I'm not trying to claim Hibbert is wonderful by any means but not many wingers will get the better of him. I'll give you he's never been in and around England or had teams coming in for him but that shouldn't really put him in the 'oh he's poop' category, defensively he can be very good. I just think as a defender he's better than Young. But I see where you are coming from.

Sthelens RLFC wrote:Seen a bit of Coleman and he looks excellent.

He is mate, he's one of the best prospects we've had for a long time along with Rodwell. He looks like he has the all round game, he can defend as well as any young FB and he doesn't let himself down at the other end of the pitch either. Them few months at Blackpool last season have brough him on leaps and bounds, hopefully he'll get some more games this season too. I'd guess he'll feature in Carling Cup this season too.

Correct. Best in the Premier League, easily.

Coleman does look a very good prospect. I think he'll have learnt a lot from the bumming that Jonas gave him at SJP last season too.

17 clean sheets in the PL last season would disagree with you mate. That's almost half the games he has kept a clean sheet. I would bet a lot of them are down to Reina's saves, plus no 'keeper distributes the ball like he does.
