Contador quitting Astana. I guess that'll be Vinokourov leading Astana now. Rumour was a new team sponsored by Santander was in the pipeline with Contador as their marquee name.

contador is rumoured to be joining bjarne riis at saxo bank, who will be renamed something specilized. he apparently has a contract that he can only ride specialized bikes and they're now taking it a bit further. obviously the shlecks are off to play happy families with their own team

Lost to LeMond by 8 seconds in the tour's closest ever result, another cycling great gone.
I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

He is yes. He really needs to be looking at winning this like you say.

He needs to do something soon - been a disappointing year for him.
Be interesting to see how the Rapha Condor Sharp team get on in this with a 1-2 in the last race of the 2010 domestic season in the Richmond Grand Prix.

Nah! I don't see how or why he needs to win it outright. TOB is a sprinters tour. I'm sure his main aim will be to support Henderson or Downing to win the GC.
Sky need to win this tour more than Wiggins does. Therefore having the likes of Wiggins and Cummings forcing the pace at the right times will fracture the peloton into pieces leaving Sky to take the Win.
The only worry is Griepel who will be wanting to use this as a spring board into the worlds. The TOB not really being what you could call a mountainous tour will suit him nicely.
