I suppose he feels that by reducing the number of automatic qualifiers to 4, it should make other players improve their performance throughout the season to try and get 3 of the places.

Although I agree, the system works OK as it is. I can't stop thinking that it's Sky who have pushed this change through rather than Hearn, so that they can choose more of the TV favourites.

I was there for it last night, absolutely superb. The place erupted when his final dart went in, waited a long time to see a 'live' 9 darter and fully worth the wait. Glad it was Barney that hit it too, he tore Ovens apart last night let's hope he keeps his form up and he will go very close.

I'm with you on that, I really liked Wade when he was coming through, his first two years at Blackpool I backed him 80/1 and 33/1 won one and was runner up. Since he got into top 3/4 in the world he's become a right spiffing chap.
