Depends who else you sign. As it stands, it is good news in Mrs B world. :D

Mild Rover wrote:Missing 2 players wasn't it? Two of your top performers, I'll admit, but when you don't even need to call on Mike Burnett, you're hardly in extremis. We were without Vella and Walker, for example, and only had one quarter of our first choice three quarter line available. I know: :BOOHOO:

It's a fair cop, guv. Compared to this week's line-up where we'll be missing 6 of our starting 13, it was a fair line-up, even if Whiting played much of the game with a broken arm.

Mild Rover wrote:Yep, but weren't you doing just that in the run up to the derby? People in glass houses and all that.

I really don't know what you mean, seriously. How can a derby win without our 3 marquee signings against a team with the Man of Steel elect and 4 of last year's Dream Team, completely against current form, be a fabricated success story? Don't get it.

Nobody knows how much if any of the game Whiting played with a broken arm, so you really don't need to keep throwing it out there in every post you make Mrs B

So you're implying with your "if any" statement that he didn't break his arm during the game? It's clear from the statement on the official website that he broke his arm during the game and "despite playing on in the match, x-rays have confirmed the worst".
http://www.hullfc.com/hullfc/contents/?p=6469

The fact that he sustained a broken arm at some point during the game (watching the replay of his attempted tackle on Newton suggests it might even have been as early as that) , played on to the end and hasn't rung up anyone in the media to bleat about it speaks volumes about the man and his character. I'll leave it there.

It could have happened in the last tackle of the game nobody knows, I like the bloke and think he's a good solid player with a great rugby brain but it's pathetic that you are trying to score cheap points on it as is once again indicated in your last sentence

From the guy who's reduced to multiple postings on the FC board of imaginary scenarios of Rovers winning the handbags battles. Still, better than admitting the best team won despite blowing 3 further golden try-scoring opportunities I suppose :D

FFS it was a bit of a ruck, no damage, no drama, no fighting in the stands. FFS. let them get on with it. Should see a fight every match IMO. Least it shows the players care. Most of the fans would have enjoyed watching the scrap. Rubbish that anyone should be banned for it.
