Some reason (rightly or wrongly) Rovers seem to be holding him back, maybe holding him back is the wrong word, easing him into professional rugby is better.

err yes he has a few times actually

Lets not heap pressure on him.
He will get a contract i beleive however and id be happy for him to make a few games in 2011

i agree with you GML, but my point was in answering GG I'd rather take a chance on a youngster after a big off season than plan on using scot murrell for the full season as our stand off next year as the kid is just not quick enough for that position if we want to progress.

I still believe we will bring someone in in that role and this might not be to everyones taste but wouldn't mind seeing us sign craig hall and give him the no6 shirt next year if there isn't a suitable experienced off half available.

It 'solves' the 6 problem, but part of bringing in a proper stand-off half is to cover Dobson, with Galea or Murrell in turn covering them.
A hooker-cum-half like Orr or Obst or Leuleuai or Fien would be another way of doing it. Murrell can do 6, 9 and 13 - I'm not sure about 7.

he played a few games for the 20's between the first phase of the 18's finishing and the second phase of the competition starting the week before last, rovers used the gap to try a few lads in the u20's

Oh I loved that, perfectly summed up Mr. Kingmaker!

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I think he will be introduced when the time is right, as was Liam Watts. Three whole years and a spell on loan at Gateshead before Watts became an overnight sensation.

Finch is a solid NRL player who has never made the step up to State of Origin or test level. I think Wigan have made a major error because if Sam Tompkins was on our books I wouldn't want to shove him out to another position to accomodate Finch.

Tomkins is a blinding talent to Finch's everyday efficiency. I think Finch would have been more useful to Rovers, and Rovers more useful to him.

I confidently predict Wigan will fare less well next year than they have this, despite or more accurately because of their influx of middle tier Melbourne Storm imports.

Wigan should be building their team around Tomkins not shoving him aside for Finch.

FAIL!!!

Finch only plays 6 for melborne because they have one of the best in the world in Cronk.

at wigan finch will play 7 and tomkins 6 with tommy moving to hooker. its very simple really.

hoffman replaces bailey, and lima replaces feka which even the biggest wigan haters admit is good business.

Some impressive strengthening by your good selves. Not a Wigan fan by any stretch of the imagination, but you look to be assembling the squad to beat next year and already have the coach, fanbase and infrastructure to top the competition. Quite depressing for everyone else TBH.
