Hope no one gets banned. Fined, fair enough, but derbies already disadvantage the participants vs other teams due to their intensity, particularly over the Easter period. Non derby teams aren't subject to the emotion of the games and their propensity to descend into biff situations, so it's like a double whammy to ban derby players for a bit of handbags as well. Misconduct rules should be applied more liberally in them IMO.

Wheeldon,Galea and Fox put in 3 huge hits if you look back at the game.

It will be interesting to see how the respective clubs cope with any bans. In Rovers case i hope if Ben or Liam are banned that Colbon, Welham and Vella may be fit enough to play or Scott Taylor to resume first team duty.

Correct. However I'm not sure you can claim dominant defence. In zod mode, Calderwood missed a sitter, If Lauaki had passed right instead of going himself we would have had another as you were men down on that side. And if The bounce of the ball had been different when Rovers dropped it on their own line, Briscoe would have scored too, so there's another 18 points. Not exactly a dominant defensive display by Rovers.

A rather thinly-veiled enjoyment of FC's injury news this morning. Whiting broke his arm in the game and played on. Calders out as well, at least in doing so it was creating the winning score. I'd guess, and it's just a guess, that if our 2 cop bans that will be 7 first teamers (note that I'm not including fringe players) out vs the table toppers and that we will be humiliated on tv. You on the other hand will have players back against a team on a 9 match losing run. So you'd imagine Rovers would "cope" better.

In true Mrs B style she forgets to mention the lucky bounce from Calderwood's kick which gave Berrigan his touchdown or the fact that if the referee had picked up on any of the seven citings which the RFL picked up on then resultant penalties may have made the difference between a win instead of a loss.

And in further Mrs B style she assumes everyone knew of Hull's injuries resulting from the derby

Why would you skim through forums and not look at the front page?

Did you just close your eyes?
