Because it is a by-product of aggression it is part of the game, it is recognised as such because we have set punishments for it, if it was not part of the game we would not have punishments.

Not particulary condoning it,but if it happens,shows passions are at least running high.As I pointed out earlier,adrenelin flowing.Doesn`t take much to light the touch paper. Not the only sport where fists fly,hell its par for the course in ice hockey.

Thats why its important to show no tolerance for it at an early age.
The discipline is the same from an early age as it is for adults, same number of games for each offence etc....however it still exists when they play at the highest levels, the reason for this is.......see earlier post.

I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion. By accepting its part of the game that is effectively saying its ok to lose you wrag and punch someone who is getting the better of you or being overly but legally aggressive.

State of origin games used to be a completely different beast when they had pre planned brawls at the first scrum etc, nowadays it seems to have lost some of it's intensity at times. The NRL have really clamped down on the biff when at times a bit of biff brings a game to life.
