...which will equal our best ever points haul in Super League. That year we finished 11 points behind St Helens and were really in another league to them and Leeds. This season's overall performance really are remarkable in the progress we have made.

And to finish in top 2 which is highly likely too is incredible. In the years I've been watching Wire (nearly 30 on and off) the best I can recall seeing us finish is 3rd in 94...

so do i..a crippling injury list where players could hardly run and a run of games in 2 weeks meant 2nd place and not league winners....pretty sure we played hull down here in the playoffs only to lose

Didn't we have a rediculous run-in of a game every 3 days or something?

Was that under Billy Benyon?

Was that the year that we came third on points difference. I remember (if it was the year) that Warrington went into the weekend in third and played on the Friday (against Sheffield?). The win put us top of the league for 24 hours until second place played on the Saturday and then the previously top team on the Sunday. If I remember that was the last time that Sky was criticised for screwing up the rugby fixtures just for their viewers...

Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!
