There is a bit of an obsession with using all the subs and using all 12 interchanges.
I think teams can get into a set pattern of changes which can be disrupted with injuries. Not playing all the subs indicates a coach who is in control of the strategy not just looking at the clock and changing the hooker after 30 minutes because that what we did last week.
