So how are you getting there? What's your plans for the trip, do you plan to do anything else than take in the rugby whilst over the other side of the channel? We start our journey on Thursday by heading down to Portsmouth to catch the overnight ferry to Cannes before an eight hour drive to Toulouse where we should arrive early evening. Probably a couple of quiet drinks Friday night then hopefully meet up with the rest of the Eagles fans in the day on Saturday, watch the game then quite probably some interesting shananigans for the good doctor's birthday on Saturday night :D. Then on Sunday we're heading down to Northern Spain for a two week holiday, hopefully starting with watching Spain win the world cup on Sunday. We're also going to watch Catalans Dragons vs Celtic Crusaders the following weekend which I'm really looking forward to, never thought I'd get to that ground!! With temperatures in excess of 30 degrees Celsius forecast it's looking like it's going to be one hell of a trip and, after missing last year's extravaganza, I cannot wait!! :D

Me, HL and a few others are going out Friday evening from Manchester, two night stay in Toulouse and back home Sunday night. We certainly hope that ESO will meet us Saturday afternoon as promised and meet all the other eagles fans at the Fag & Lettuce about 5pm before the game. Straight after its a McLaren style pit stop back at the hotel for a change after the game then out in town to celebrate my latest stage of getting old and hopefully meeting up with the lads from the club like last year. Everyone was excellent last year from the club and it would be class to do it again (Tangi necking a €7 pint i bought him was a personal highlight). Although its a shame we wont have Damian Gibson's welsh accent.

Sunday i expect will be a day of recovery and full of stories about cardboard boxes and underfed dogs.

See you all there.

PS: I never predict the scores of eagles games, besides, i expect ill need to be reminded of it on Sunday.....

Via Bristol for us which at the time seemed the best option, it worked last year but it is a long drive.

In terms of Friday I may see about a short river/canal trip followed by a leisurely drink in the big square (Le Capitole?)

Assuming they have air conditioning I’ll watch the Sky game in either De Danu or the Melting Pot. The latter is appealing as it’s a very short walk to the hotel.

For Saturday, I think De Danu does proper cooked breakfasts although they don’t start until 11:30 so I’ll have that as a brunch and maybe a croissant earlier. Then a walk around and see if I can see the English drunks supping cans in the middle of the little park.

Will head for the Tabac et Salad and hope that the miserable owner has enough glasses this year so we can sample his wares at however many Ctrl/Alt/4 it is and then band practice can start.

It’s Kazoos in Toulouse.

I haven't seen much of Frank this year but he did mention Gatwick for him if he was going.

If you go to De Danu be nice to Trevor Brennan and dont say anything about his family-thee last person to do that is still recovering! Capitole is indeed the main square-some nice bars there but pricy! To all who are going have a great time, gutted I cant go this year!
