Wires initial allocation was 15 thousand, i'm pretty sure we recieved altogether 21thousand off the rfl so how did your brothers figure reach 35 k lol... the rest were bought direct from the rfl.. As was said above wire did say around 25k fans, so if they had the figures of 35 k i'm more than sure they would of released that seeing as its a pretty impressive figure

Less than 12 months ago they didnt sell their allocation for the cc semi at widnes sending quite a few hundred tickets back thus helping wire to take a few more coach loads to widnes.. it really does suprise me just how fickle their fans can be at times seeing as they are obssessed by home and away crowds..
Ah bless ... you really can't get over Wigan can you ..... stop fretting you're the mighty Wire holders of the CC, playing at the superb HJ stadium ..... meanwhile us Wiganers continue to live in your shadow. Never mind maybe we'll break your domination of world rugby one day and hope to have crowds that compete with yours

As true as that maybe, you need to take into account the amount of away fans in attendance. Whilst tics get the like of Utd, Liverpool, Everton, City, Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley, Villa, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, West HAm, Wolves et al, we feel the need to close the North stand for the visits of Hudds, Quins, Crusaders, Catalan and we may aswell for Salford, Wakefield, Cas, Bradford even Saints brought only 3100 this time round. Latics average away crowd is around 3500-4000, take that away from their average and the home attendance is very similar to ours. Added to that they have far far more ticket offers including £1 a game tickets for ST holders for Brum, Sunderland, Fulham then the last 3 games just £4 a game for ST holders, then add this little beauty http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/page/Junio ... 27,00.html

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions
Anyway, I say well done to the Wigan Marketing team, and yes, to the Wigan fans for their support to Rugby League. Both Wigan and Warrington contribute in very positive ways to RL, including very good support home and away. No need to argue, ok?
