"This is the biggest job in club football and I'm honoured to be taking on Britain's most successful football club,"
Biggest job in club football? Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho will have a laugh at that.
I personally accept the fact that Liverpool are Britain's most successful club, but I think Rangers supporters might ask how 53 titles is less than Liverpool's 18. Would have been safer just to limit it to England's most successful club.

How am I mocking you, idiot?
Hodgson claims the Liverpool job is the biggest in club football. I say that Man United, Barca and Real Madrid are obviously bigger.

Why feel sorry for Roy Hodgson? He is right when he says that the Liverpool job is a big job. He'll be on excellent money and is being given the chance to prove he's at the top of his profession. Liverpool performed so badly last season that Liverpool's position this season will probably be an improvement even if Hodgson does an average job.
IMO he's had an okay career and done well without ever being under pressure to perform. He's only getting the Liverpool job because of the UEFA Cup exploits of Fulham. I can't say this is an appontment that I have any concern with, but Hodgson could be a steady hand which brings Liverpool into contention for a top 4 spot once again.
