It is not about who I support. I have lost all interest in supporting the English national side because it is ran by absolute imbeciles. We produce consistently average players, consistently average coaches, consistently average managers and our results as a national side a consistently average. There has never been a focus on change in England, appointing an Italian as a manager won't make us produce the requisite players, nor does his past experience mean that he knows best above all. He didn't make a plan B, he didn't pick a side based on balance and chemistry, he picked a side based on big names like every other manager did before him and he failed just as emphatically. It is a tried and tested failure, yet more and more time is wasted trying to get the same crop to perform, when it's abundantly clear that so many of them just can't play international football, as they rely far too heavily upon their foreign teammates.
There is an endless list of reasons for England's failure, I have listed many alongside many other users on here, it is blatantly obvious yet it is always pushed a side, it is typical of our mentality in football. Just like Rob Green getting dropped, nobody will look at that and say 'we need to coach our goalkeepers better so these mistakes stop happening', they say 'drop him, get James in and hope he doesn't F up', it's typical of our mentality, yet there is never an emphasis on fixing things, instead there is always this emphasis on 'blame'.
I'll maybe regain interest in England once the national side and FA do something worthy of drawing my interest and support, but whilst the current shambles continues to go on, I'll just sit back and enjoy the entertainment as failure continues to persist.
