that'll be the dobson thats hardly missed a game whilst in a rovers shirt, put in some great performances, got in the dream team last year. i'll take the factory any time! how's the gypsy doing?

Just pointing out that he's reportedly turned Wigan down, concurrent with a story in the Sun that Rovers have made him a megabucks deal, which was the same pattern of events as happened with Dobson. I can't believe that you forgot to mention the Albert Goldthorpe medal.
Cheap and nasty shot about Long BTW, who needed oxygen last night before being helped from the field with a serious elbow injury. Still, it clearly makes you feel good, so go ahead and enjoy.

Reet, this is about Finch and Lima. Rovers have possibly offered them some money to play for us. They will either accept some money or they will not. That is the financial side of things dealt with definitively (you're very welcome). Let us now look at the other side of these potential transactions, that is to say what they would offer as Rugby League players, rather than twisting it into a tedious trolling thread.

Isn't it obvious what they would offer? A quality replacement for Cooke and some grunt up front. No doubt they would be very good signings. Question is more where something would maybe have to give elsewhere, either from a salary cap or squad numbers perspective.

Absolutely. We're, like all clubs, down to 17 non-club-trained players next year. Unlike most other teams, our club-trained players are all still young and relatively inexperienced. They'll therefore be relatively cheap. Unfortunately our squad will be thin (reflected last night when comparing our injury depleted 17 with Hudds), but we've got more cap space than most to ensure we fill those 17 spots with quality players, who can support the youngsters when they come into the team. A bit of an imbalance (the Saints model without the fully developed pipeline), but we've got no choice - and resultantly little guilt about taking advantage of the rules where they are advantageous to us.

she started it. as always! would like finch in the side, do we really need lima tho? as mentioned else where we have some good young prospects in the front row, newton has deputised there before, we do have other options.

We've only got one quota spot as things stand too. The only way we need another prop is if Netherton is intended to be primarily a SR and we regularly use a 3rd prop at LF. If Walker goes elsewhere, we do need another forward to balance the squad, IMO, but there are plenty of options. Not so for half backs.

It's a discussion point, turning down the league leaders and joining a lower ranked club suggets one thing, money!
I don't think you will get Lima but do think Finch will come your way.

If a point of discussion concerns the subject of Hull KR, but only interests the fans of Hull FC, which board does it rightfully belong on? You'd be very welcome to it. I come on here primarily to discuss rugby. Professional sport, so money is part of that, and I'd happy to discuss it sensibly. Perhaps the subject should be rehabilitated, but it'd need a troll cull first, IMO.
