Fair result for me , cracking game and didnt do my already tattered ticker any good those last 2 minutes. well done too to the few hundred fans who made the trip and made plenty of noise !
can i ask a question though ? did any of you honestly think you had blown it at the end?

To be fair I was gutted at the end to not have got the 2 points, but in all honesty I think most of us would have take the one point had you offered us it before the game, especially given recent games between us. Having watched the game back, think it was a fair result. Was more of us there than I thought there was going to be when we first got there, but not a bad turn out for a Friday night on Sky and like you say we made plenty of noise.

When you came away from the scrum with the ball.....erm.....yes!
I still have to watch sky just to see what happened there... cracking game all the same.

Defensively Rovers were A1, and you don't only win games with attack. I thought we contained Huddersfield personally.
Regarding the last three calls:
1) Lolesi onside/offside - For me, he must have been at least inline with Brown, but it seemed that there wasn't a camera angle that could see. I find it hard to believe he had that much pace, but hey ho.
2) Ben Galea/Kevin Brown - Anyone could see he went for the ball.
3) Fox/Hodgeson - This to me is contentious. He tackled him outside the ingoal for a starters, but he was making a tackle, not like obstructing. For me, that would have been harsh to award a penalty try, not cos we'd have lost lol, but I think he'd have been hard done to because he cannot just watch the player catch the ball surely?
Point was a fair result.
You don't win a game by not scoring though. IMO if Hudds had as many extra PTB's as you they would have murdered you. I agree with point 1 and 2 but on another night another ref could have said he tackled the man without the ball (I've seen worse calls in the SL). As for 3 I don't really know the rules regarding penalty tries but I was under the impression it was but for Fox's actions Hodgson would have definitley scored ? He did have no alternative however he committed a dangerous tackle and it has to be a penalty. Neither me nor you can have a really 'balanced POV' however the discussion on the VT is interesting;

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really!
SPOT ON!

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

You're all riled up in a highly entertaining way this morning. I do need cheering up though.

Galea tackled Brown without the ball (as did Cockayne in the first half) which on another night may have been a penalty try and it's very lucky Hodgson didn't get a penalty try. Rovers played well with Lovegrove/Murrell playing good games but they still look very blunt in attack.
.... think back a couple of weeks to ben cockayne being sin binned for a late challenge on the kicker . saw a similar thing happen to dobson last night that didn`t even get a penalty given. the player dragged into touch should also have been a penalty. . its the inconsistencies of the refs and their decisions that are affecting the game. and galea last night reached around the man and played the ball which is why he got away with that one, but the offside from the first kick was not given due to the lack of camera angles at the stadium as it was a blind spot, one that hudds utilised well. as for fox`s last second challenge... why didn`t he just wait for the man to land then just bump him into touch. then game over and 2 points in the bag
in all it was a game that neither team did enough to win it and neither team deserved to lose so a draw was a fair reflection of the game.

a cracking game in the balance literally up until the last kick and credit to both teams for that. i also view it as a point gained for us as i thought rovers were slightly the better side. i feared we were going to get steamrollered in the first half as rovers were doing everything right, keeping possesion, not making mistakes, running well out wide and creating space, we looked all at sea for the first 20 mins but then as last week, drew and faiumu seemed to inject new life into us last night. as for the 3 contentious decisions at the end,i haven't had the benefit of a replay yet but at the time i thought, that lolesi was offside but the pictures proved inconclusive,i thought that brown was tackled without the ball and that had it been anywhere else on the pitch it would have been a penalty and i thought the one on hodgson was also tackled without the ball, maybe a penalty try could have been awarded but i think in the end it was the right result.
and well done to the travelling support too,you didnt quite outnumber us this time but made plenty off noise though

God knows how we didn't with such a low crowd: 6300+ is woeful for a Yorkshire derby.
