Torres' play acting didn't help.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:The score when Maradona scored the handball goal was 0-0. Maradona did cheat to knock that in with his hand, but England got exactly what they deserved with their dreadful defending and goalkeeping.

Maradona then danced round half the England team to make it 2-0.

England, having their backs against a wall, manage to score one goal but that's all.

I'm really not seeing how England were robbed of a rightful victory. If Maradona's handball had been given he could have still scored the wonder goal and Argentina could have protected a one goal lead in a manner they wouldn't when leading 2-0.

At the most England were robbed of a draw. IMO Argentina would've won anyway though.

I'm sorry let's deal in facts shall we and not opinions.
We are not talking coulds and woulds....that (non) goal had a material effect on the game. FACT! It shouldn't have been allowed to stand and by simply looking at a TV picture would show it was handball. The point his why can't we learn from it????
Others sports have.
Football is like dinosaur.

Have you seen two players appeal to the referee over a meaningless throw-in in the middle of the pitch?

Have you seen players commit ridiculous, dangerous, nasty fouls and then berate the ref for having the temerity to give a free kick against them?

Have you seen players fall over at the slightest touch and act as if they've been hit by a truck?

The answer to all those questions is yes.

And you want to add bitching over every decision to the video ref on top of it?

FIFA are right, you are wrong. Adding in video decisions and after-match refereeing will just make the situation even worse.

(You want to deal in FACHTS but want to claim England were robbed of victory when they lost 2-1. Lose some weight Fat Boy Rafa.)

He should have been off for the tackle earlier. Whilst Ponce should be off as well.

They were robbed....look back through your own post even you said it....anyway the victory bit is nit-picking you get the point...the point is reducing cheating.

Well I would have to be blind not to see the extent of cheating in the game......but if you are prepared to leave it at the status quo ...because it might get messy....well I would suggest it's messy already.

I am not suggesting it goes to the ridiculous extent you are proposing...preposterously may I say.
The only time video evidence has to be brought into account during a game is;-
1 When a goal is scored.
While they are trotting back to restart...check the validity of the goal.
2 when a penalty is awarded...check for diving etc.
Leave the rest to the ref....
Review sendings-off in light of video evidence.

That would take seconds and might bring more accountability to the game.

This is what happens in games like Rugby League.

Your insults detract and don't add to your argument.

You're probably right, but that is immaterial.

Maybe constant video decisions are wrong, but I feel for goals and for 'off the ball' incidents, it could be used. The problem is, what happens if they go to the video ref for a goal to see whether it crossed the line, they find out it did, but the player who scored it handballed in the process of scoring, or he was offside, what do they do then? Video technology will open up a whole can of worms if they bring it in.

However, for things like Kaka's red card and Bosingwa's ninja kick, after match decisions should be made, as the ref's inability has to be overruled for extreme cases, like Kaka's.

Fifa have it half way right, whilst I do think the argument for video technology is right and very valid, I just feel it will end up causing a lot more havoc. The rule surrounding yellow cards, suspensions for multiple yellow cards and the inability to overturn a yellow card is absolutely embarrassing.

Free kick for the handball/offside? simple.

Disallow it of course! How many worms are in that???

Exactly...you're getting the idea.

for goal decisions or if play has stopped and you want to know if it was a foul or if you should card someone like today at the chile game, what's the problem ?

It's been fun.
