I believe that Danny Tickle was the first to send him a congratulatory text. Or was it Willie Manu? Or was it Danny Hought.........?

It reads as if Rovers offered him 2 years but he only wanted one. but I think its just a badly written article and missed out the words 'at other clubs'.

Think a one year deal is good for both parties, would have been worried if it had been a two year deal.

Fortunately they're players coming into the prime of their careers rather than the twilights hence why they got more than a one year deal.

If the rumours are true and we were after Galea I'd be suprised if it was us who offered him the two-year deal, probably someone like Wakefield/Crusaders (a middle-bottom range club)

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.

Quite sad, really!

Oh yes I can see how a 30 year old Willie Manu would be at the peak of his career whilst a 31 year old Ben Galea is in the twighlight of his

Why would you be surprised? just reminds me of the longy deal, so cant see how it would be a "surprise"

Willie Manu has improved season on season, he's playing more minutes this year and last then he did in any of his previous seasons at Hull and was signed up as soon as Hull could for more than one year. In contrast Ben Galea has had more and more injury problems in the last year and has only been offered a one year deal.

Indeed but Longy is English and was one of the only options for a top quality 7. I'd be suprised if we offered Fitz only a one-year deal (despite him been a far superior player to Galea IMO) but offered Galea a two-year deal with especially with it been uncertain whether or not he was on quota.
