Haven't seen/heard the David James press conference, but it was said on the CFC forum that he was far more controversial in what he said than Terry was.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. There's a huge difference between playing matches in the middle of a league campaign and one in a tournament. In the middle of a league campaign 1/4 of the squad are suffering from knocks and may or may not be available for the game. In a World Cup tournament Capello has the players 24/7 so what may be fine for qualification and friendlies isn't appropriate during a tournament.

Good riddance France, you shouldn't have even been at the World Cup in the first place. As for South Africa, absolutely gutting that they are out, more for the South African public than the squad.

What the England players need to realise is that the world cup means a lot to a lot of people and fans have paid thousands just to get out to South Africa and watch one game. Today they need to stand up and be counted. They need to realise that they get paid £100k per week to play football, and they need to earn their money for once, and do their job. Today I'd go with :
