I'm with you though they will cause them some problems, was very impressed with them against Greece very quick on and off the ball. Be a test for the Argentina back line, more so than Nigeria posed. Looking forward to it.

I'm not sure if they'll have enough to beat them, I just think it could prove to be a decent contest, I need to sleep on it before I make any betting choices (I only bet for fun, but the £20 I started with on Saturday is now £1, I've not won on anything!).

Just noticed skybet have Argentina as favourites for the tournament, not sure where that's come from.

Probably because only them and Germany have looked half decent so far, I wouldn't go as far as making them favourites myself.

Nigeria at evens are not a bad price too. Yeah I would expect Argentina to still win the game but it should be a good test, I just hope Korea have the same attitude as the Greece game because they should cause a few problems against a possibly unstable Argentina defence.

Sure, the matches haven't been that good, however, most teams think it more important to not lose the first game rather than trying to force the win.

Now that we're in the second round of matches I think the quality of the games will improve. It's also good for the tournament that "lesser" nations are getting results against the powerhouses.

Why a stupid statement ?

It's my opinion and i stand by it, i can remember from 86 to this one, so far the games are woeful, the SA fans are morons (not racist before it starts ,i'm not calling SA in general), the stadiums are not full (in a world cup that is shocking)

I don't care about who wins be it lesser team or not, i'm just hoping all the SA fans stay away now their team is out (not technically but realistically). I have to put up with the media talking about f'kin apartheid round every corner and how brilliant Nelson Mandela is (This is sport ffs, i don't care, if i wanted politics i'd watch the news)

Every thing about this tournament is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth AND i'm not the only one saying it, in fact at the place i work it's the general consensus.

If the tournament comes to England do i have to listen about World War I & II or how William Wilberforce helped banish slavery or programmes on how Emmeline Pankhurst helped get the vote for women ?

I want to see the football, with no politics, and i want to hear the fans singing and chanting and yes in the SA games don't mind those stupid horns as long as they are confined to only their games. I want to hear drums and cow bells and samba and trumpets from the various nations.

Hate this World cup on so many levels.

That's my point, this is a forum, there you go.

No chip, no handbags, just a honest opinion

It's been fun.

Earlier on ITV, someone had said he was due some sort of award for the recognition he had deserved for bringing the world cup to South Africa.

He was bigging him up that much, I am suprised he did not go as far to suggesting that he deserves a nighthood. Well maybe the commentator did suggest this, but I had switched off by then anyway.

How frustrating is it when you get so close? I was close with Twice Over at Royal Ascot today. We've both come close to collecting.
