Bye Bye South Africa, i'm so glad you're out, this is the worst world cup ever.
Yeah it's been a bit of a let down hasn't it. The ball and the low crowds. Be interesting to see how low the interest level gets now SA are out. Will we see even smaller crowds?

It has only been a few days, it's a bit early to class it as the worst world cup ever, especially as most on here haven't watched all of them, if any. It's en route to being the worst in my memory, but I've only 'properly' seen 98, 02 and 06.
The groups stages of all world cups are mostly forgettable, I've been watching them since Argentina 1978 and can barely remember any outstanding group games. Those that stand out are the Scotland matches just for sheer comedy value.

I don't think any group stages are outstanding from what I remember, in any tournament football it never really gets going until the knockout stages. It will get better.
Anyway, you need to get back to page 42 and about 9 posts down of this thread an answer why you put us alongside those two when you clearly could've and should've picked someone who backed up your point

The Switzerland win was good for the competition IMO and great for that group, Hitzfeld had the set up very well, everyone knew their role and they got the break and the goal.
I don't know why Spain play Iniesta on the left of a forward three, get him in the middle where he links well with Xavi and can get forward, I know he plays there every now and then for Barca but I don't see why Del Bosque favours him there.
Good result for Uruguay in the evening game, shut the vuvuzela's up a bit by the end, which is something we can all be grateful for, Diego is looking good - not just the goals, but he seemed to have more control and accuracy over his passes and crossing than most of the players in this competition so far.
