Yes it was, with a part of Chris Hicks' foot on it!!!!!! He only needs to brush ONE blade of grass for him to be in touch, this is what happened clear as day on the Sky camera's while a touch judge had his eye's glued to Hicks' foot yet didn't raise his flag!
As for the Stripping/offloading, well if he is in an attempt to offload and the ball ends up with our player it is the attacking players fault. There is no stripping of the ball when a player is carrying the ball loosely as is the term "loose carry".
Had that call been correct HKR get away from their line with 6 tackles, Newton doesnt take out his frustrations on a Warrington player and the game is at 6-4, 13 against 13 and this 9 page thread never gets aired!!!
What I am surprised nobody has mentioned is why Briers was not pulled up by any of the officials for blatantly pushing Galea over the top of Fox while he was getting up to play the ball? He came from behind and just pushed Ben in the back, if that is not a proffesional foul I dont know what is, and the worst thing is at that time he shouldn't have been on the pitch because he'd just ripped the ball after we'd made a break so that his defenders could get back onside!
I dont dislike Briers and I certainly dont blame him for what he does in games because at the end of the day he is playing the refs and winning, it just proves how easily manipulated those officials can be but if you wind them up in the wrong way you have an up hill struggle for the rest of the 80mins!
Wire did indeed deserve to win, it was IMO a 10pt ball game and not 19pt difference in the sides. Its the way it goes sometimes certainly however I dont think Justin is "hanging on" he has a few star larkers in an average side but we are paying top whack for some of these average or injury prone players which means he is limited to what he can spend on other players.

"Stripping" the ball means removing the ball from a players hold during a tackle whilst one or more players are holding the player in possession. You can be holding the ball between your two little finger tips but if its removed then its "stripping". If more than one player is involved it is a penalty offence even if its a "loose carry". I've watch the incident a couple of times since the game and I must say that at the time I thought Wolves were very lucky (still do to some extent) but I think that although the Wolves player was trying to offload the ball, he did still have it in his possession and therefore technically correct.
Ref made bad decisions for both teams .

Aggree 100%, if some people who come on here think Morgan is a bad coach then they realy do need to get a reality check, He has done wonders for this club in 4 years, more than any other coach would have done in my opinion, ok, perhaps he has made one or two bad descisions, so what!, which coach hasn't?, he is also a very young coach who is learning all the time and will only get better with time. If Morgan left this club tommorow there would be a list of clubs scrambling to get his signiture, make no mistake, we would struggle to find a comparable replacement, some players would possibly want to follow him out of the door and before long the club would find itself in a declining situation, get real some of you people.
having checked back I see that we manage to stuff Warrington 36-16 back in April, so 1 a piece this season. Also noticed that the ref that day was one I Smith. Maybe he was trying to level things up LOL

Shocking.
If you watch it again you will hear Clinton continually chipping away at the ref, maybe the sin binning was just a case of one incident too many, also Vella HAD been warned the next one would get 10 mins.

That sin binning was the turning of the game and ruined what was a well fought contest, even though it was poorly refereed from the off.
If a team is consistently commiting offences then im afraid somebody has to be sin binned. And the ref made Dobson (i think) aware of this. KR gave away 5 penalties in the first 7 or so minutes so what did they honestly expect to happen? Yes yes, we can go on about Hicks' little toe touching a flick of paint and Briers making a meal out of that penalty etc but the fact remains, KR were second best. They offered jack going forward and had it not been for their heroic defence, they'd have seriously been shafted right up the backside.
Oh and interestingly, 6 of our first 13 weren't even on the field on Friday.

So he invented a penalty when he saw it was Clint Newton, He shouted 2 and then blows up and decides it was a grapple tackle when the players are moving away. It was shocking but then again he was just as bad the week before when we had him

Can we all agree that the current crop of super league referee's are pap and would struggle to control a match in the summer conference league. Where are the up and coming referee's ? How can, if we wanted to, go to two referee's in a game. We have neither the quality nor numbers. The officials are slowing killing the game with their ineptitude and their inability to follow the rule book consistently. Does anyone have an answer to this downward spiral ?
