Main bet today Aucharlie in the 4:45 Hexham - well worth backing if you aren't already on take the 9/4 with Totesport. There's some very dodgy goings on with him and the yard/trainer/owner/horse generally.

Just wondered what everyones views are on the Harry Findley affair?
Personally, I don't think the rules were intended to catch people who do what he did although I will admit I don't use Betfair so perhaps those who do will have more of an opinion?

8/1 in the Racing Post betting forecast is way off the mark then.

Just had a look round and it looks like more evasive action. Totesport only 7/4 now. Skybet's 2/1 appears to be the best available.
Slightly harsh on Findlay. I don't like his big gobbed persona but at least he has some character unlike a lot of owners. From what I understand, he had backed the horse to win both times, but had simply 'hedged' his bets by playing a 'lay' bet at a smaller stake, purely as a back up incase the horse got beat to limit his losses.
Don't fancy anything today, and not going to convince myself to find something for the sake of it like I have in the past. Most of the races look like bookies benefits, with either impossible handicaps or horses that are priced on yards etc in races with little or no reliable form.
Royal Ascot, and Goldikova looks obvious banker material to build a warchest for the rest of the week.
