By big time Charlies I think nineoiler means players who thought they were better than they were, too big for their boots like. This may have happened with some of our current squad, I'm 100% sure Tangi Ropati's head was turned by Harlequins over the winter because he's playing like half the man he was last year.

My brain is fine thank you - with the exception of Craig Cook! the rest of the team did not perform well they did not stick to the game plan - as Mark has already stated and they ran out of steam - they have been doing simular ofr most of the season - hence our position in the league - engage your own brain - before posting!

You honestly think Craig Cook is the only player in the squad that's performing as he should be? You're doing some of our forwards a huge mis-service there.

Not all the time just some of the time and particularly against Batley on sunday and keightley last week - they are just not as good as they were last year at some of the games - some times it works but it hasn't klicked enough this season

I agree to some instance on the forwards, but not that they aren't putting the work in. Instead I think some of them have been found out, or changed the way they play.
Alex has been immense, and Mick H is doing really well, and all they're doing is play like a forward. Running lines, running hard, hitting hard and driving forwards. Hepworth has been doing the same. I think Mitch has changed his game and is hitting the line and offering drop off passes, in the James Graham style, to his fellow forwards and the backs. If it works it'll be awesome and add a huge dimension to our game, however unlike Saints our other players aren't running the lines and backing up so loose carries become knock ons, not slipped passes.
It's my thoughts, I may be wrong, but it's how I'm seeing it.
I think we are strong with Misi at fullback, but I don't think it's coincidence that our wingers aren't scoring many trys. Regardless of who's on the wing, if they don't get the ball they can't score. Tangi laid a lot of trys on last year, this year for whatever reason he's been less effective, maybe he's no longer an unknown quantity and teams know how to defend against him. Menzie is Menzie (taken from an earlier post!) but again without good service the wingers aren't going to be prolific.
The fact our forwards are scoring more trys than our backs must be worrying.
What do we do? I'm not sure, the skills are there, the players are there, maybe one good performance will drop everything into place. Fingers crossed.
