Its the way to go IMO. What riled me in the last 2 seasons was the lack of effort from our "stars". I would rather watch a pasting as long as the young lads were giving 100%.

Still dont understand it, cant find much info about it, would love to see the RFL explanation of it.

Basically, they said that players who didn't need a work permit at the time the new "quota" rules were introduced were exempt from the new regs which mean that working rights mean nothing, it's where you were trained. They did it to stop any potential restraint of trade claims from players who may have been adversley affected by the new regs.

So if someone with a euro passport or a kolpack player was already here before the new rules came in then they are exempt

With the current exchange rate and lack of attractiveness of SL for overseas players, we may as well abandon the quote/fed trained extravaganza and let the salary cap dictate the overseas players numbers.
