3 of us going but having a change this time and staying at the Hotel Mar-i-Cel in Canet Plage. Leaving early on Friday from East Midlands to Carcassonne, then train to Perpignan and bus into Canet. Touch of the Trains, Planes and Automobiles - hope it goes okay. Returning Monday from Perpignan into Manchester.
Hope to bump in a few of you for a glass or two.
10 of us going Mon-Mon, also in Canet. Been before.
A taxi to Canet from the airport is around 40 euros. We will have 2 6 seaters from Canet ordered. The bus into Perpignan is not always there, last year was a 3hour wait if we were to catch it. Buses are cheap.
Check out La Wembley pub, just behind your hotel (if I remember right). It has Sky, (the only one in Canet) and is run by an ex France RL coach. I forget his name. The team stayed in Canet last year, and we met them in there Fri and Sat night. Beanz said it was the best prep they had for the game, so they may be there again. Also, Soliel la Beach , or something like that, a pub with its own sun beds right on the waters edge. A Catalan season ticket holder, and the ex-president of the Rugby league team before they became Dragons, work there.
We'll be the ones in Trinity shirts.
See you there.
