He said the club could not brake even, and spend to the cap unless the averaged 10000 minimum. Also you have spent to the cap this year, losing Cookie half way through the season won't have made much difference. Steve Mcnamara said the only way Bradford would be able to spend to the cap next year was if they won the cup this year (which can't happen ) and they have a bigger income than Rovers.So it just goes to show that spending to the cap just to keep up with your far bigger neighbours, isn't always the best policy
