Rovers are losing money, but that isn't necessarily the same as being skint. Chelsea and Man City are losing fortunes - not that I'm suggesting our board is made up East Hull Abramovichs or Mansours.
I've prepared myself for a reining in of spending, in the name of stability, but Morgan seems to be targetting high-end(ish) players, so maybe things are not as bad as the doom-mongers would have us believe. Alternatively, if they think we can sign Finch and Lima, as well as keeping Galea and Webster - as has been suggested as elsewhere - then maybe they've gone a bit mental and we're going to crash and burn like a big barmy zeppelin. That being the case, buy stocks in socks!
Anyway, having said all that, I doubt we'd pay a fee for Ratchford. He's been usurped by Holdsworth at Salford and we've already got a prospect in Bell. Someone to hold the fort for a year or two would be fine. Or two, including a goal kicker if Dobson departs.
