Unlucky Camel Gob.

TBF to Dawson he deserves a WC spot. He has been much better than Upson.

As for Drogba.... It seems that the Nike ad is cursed. Who next? Ribery? Ronaldo? Rooney?

Hopefully Ledley King's body is up to it, for me he's a better centre half than the incumbents anyway and given their form and fitness worries over the season the Ferdinand/Terry partnership was one I had concerns about.

Yeah of course it's just has to be Heskey's fault, nothing to do with biscuit boy himself.

Big blow for England and Rio. It's now time for Ledley King to step up and fill the centre back spot and for Gerrard to take the armband.

It's a much bigger blow for ferdinand than it is for england. This ws aferdinands last world cup and it will be a devastating blow, no doubt tears will have been shed back in his room at the training base.

But defence is one area where we are blessed. King, dawson, carragher we have plenty of adequate cover and king will step in and do as good a job.

Being captain will bring the best out of gerrard as he'll thrive on the responsibility.

Dawson has been the best English centre back this season.

All i heard was it was a Heskey challenge that's done the knee? No idea if it was innocuous or not. I'm in the leave Heskey at home camp so this has made me chuckle. He probably isn't going to play, he definitely won't be getting us goals off the bench and it looks like his major contribution to the World Cup could be doing the captains knee.
