A senseless waste of human life, and a tragedy that touches us all.
Condolences to the familes of the victims, and all affected by this.

Yesterday I was worrying about getting to a match at RAF Cranwell this afternoon (which I ultimately managed), today none of it seems to matter. I always love coming up to Whitehaven and the surrounding areas, and have spent many happy hours up there. To imagine that something like this could happen in such a peaceful place is unbelieveable. Deepest sympathy to all on behalf of all at Sheffield Eagles. We'll see you in 10 days time. Garry Purdham R.I.P.
