Ian Wright - I wonder if SGE left Shaun out of the WC just to spite me.
No, Ian. Sven left Shaun out of the WC squad because he wasn't good enough. The same reason why Chelsea let him go and why Citeh will probably let him go as well.
Of course, Sven may have accepted the bonus of knowing a loudmouth pr1ck would be upset, but that wouldn't have been the reason for his decision.

In any other season 96 points and over 100 goals would win the league yet Pellegrini is sacked. I don't understand why any manager would want to go to Real. If you don't win the league you get the sack and even winning the league doesn't guarantee your job either. Capello was sacked after winning the league because the football his team played wasn't attractive enough, so what will happen next year if Real win the league? Mourinho isn't going to change his tactics just because he is at Real so will he be sacked too?

if mourinho wins the league and gets sacked? he takes a big payoff and gets a job elsewhere pretty easily
“You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”

He'd be claiming that it wasn't accidental. Difficult to see on the one angle all the German's are showing on youtube, but from that it doesn't really look like Boateng was making any attempt to play the ball.
Reckon he's just angling for a move to Arsenal actually. It's impossible to prove that Boateng set out to injure him, rather than just foul him.
I see UEFA are bringing in rules where clubs will only be able to spend what they earn from 2014. It's called something like the break even rule.
Clubs with stupid setups that are completely dependent on one owner will also be restricted as to how much they are allowed to spend. For example Citeh.
