There is a difference between think you can compete and wanting to win against saying we will win. With possibly the exceptions of Salford/Crusaders every other side should be setting their sights on the playoffs and then taking it from there. It's two competitions these days, you work all year for position and then try to win the thing.

Although i know what your saying, if Salford are as succesful at beating bottom / mid table teams as they were with top of the table teams last season they to could be in the mix aswell.
Leeds, Saints and Huddersfield all fell to Salford.

Fair point, Salford making the 8 would be huge for them. I very much doubt it will happen though.

HULL KR coach Justin Morgan has set his sights on winning both the Grand Final and the Challenge Cup this season. Speaking at a fans forum at Craven Park last night, Morgan said he was happy the squad he has at his disposal is good enough to deliver success this season.
Asked what his aims and goals were, Morgan said: "To win the Grand Final and the Challenge Cup. I am desperate to win a trophy.
Then on 24th May 2010, when it's not quite going as planned he contends:
"I never said what my goals were as I never shared them with anyone. I'm not going to give bold statements and headlines."
