23yr old prop forwards are not easy to come by that are good enough to pull on a shirt at this level. Graham is a freak as are the Burgess family of brothers but not many props are as good at 23, a prop matures at 28-30 so to say he is never going to become a top prop is far far way of the mark. He was around 93kg a couple of years ago he has since put on 10kg to bulk up to be a prop with more to come in the next closed season I am sure.

A player needs time to adjust to a new position this is Rhys's first season in that position, he makes more yards than all our props upto now, when playing with confidence he can release a cracking offload.

What I didnt know about missed tackles was that if you make contact with a player and they bounce off you then you go back to regain contact the first part of the tackle is classed as a miss then the second contact is a made tackle. Also just the action of making a grab for a player moving latterally accross the defensive line is classed as a miss and this is something he is prone to doing.

Not saying you did Larry but many on here called Tandy while he was at Rovers and now he's playing at Melbourne and playing very very well might I add!

Personally would have given Lovegrove a 1 year deal.

I cannot understand some of the negativity regarding Rhy's contract extension. He is more than worthy of it and IMO is one of the best forwards at the club. As for the possibilty of extending Galea's contract, if it is going to hinder whether the club being able to make overseas signings for the hooker and stand off positions, then he has to be let go as hes the wrong side of 30 and we have cover in the back row.

Well we have, haven't we? You can't compare him to anyone else, because you have no idea what their wage demands are. It's all about getting a squad together under the salary cap and for all you know, there could be no better player in the world than Lovegrove for that particular amount of money.

Also why suggest playing him at centre when your main gripe with him is his tackling?

Galea's age, injuries and probably wage demands are a major stumbling block for our board. There are rumours our nursing home accross the river have been sniffing (and talking to Galea by all accounts teehee!!!) so can see why he would be holding out if we'll only offer him another 1yr deal.

Having watched Mills yesterday for Quins V Cas I think he is lucky to be playing SL because there are better players not getting games in the Championship.

He was dire.

Materson must be on his way soon. If Quins were playing any other side they would of got battered, they were terrible too.

Looks/sounds like he will be back suckling on the HKR teet in a months time then.
