With regards Beaumont, watching the reserves this year i would say that Dee and Green have gone above him in the pecking order. I wouldnt be surprised to see one of those given a full time deal in the off-season at his expense.
Lets be honest, Beaumont IMO will have only been brought into the first team squad to make up the numbers.

Harsh, but possibly true. The most exciting thing at Rovers at the moment, in my opinion, and much under-mentioned is the quality of juniors now coming through our ranks and each years crop seems to be getting better. We have got some genuinely top quality prospects at 16/17/18 years of age who are going to be forcing their way into Justins plans over the next couple of years.

What is wrong with building the pack around players like Wheeldon, Watts and Beaumont?
Oh yeah, young and English rules them out of having a future at Rovers
Rhys considers himself half English. He has an English Mum and an English passport and by the end of his new deal will have spent 1/5th of his life here in Hull. Not to mention his english GF which equates to him having a 3/4 English son

What's wrong with the 20s then? People have said watch the 16s, 17s, 18s for the past couple of weeks but not the 20s. Are they all that bad or has KR just given up on them due to the new rule change, i.e. the club can't keep them past 20 years of age? I think it is a big mistake for the RFL to stick to this format. A lot of players don't mature while 21,22 etc., especially backs, but by this time the clubs will have let them go after investing a lot of years in these lads. The Championship is full of them this season with some very good performances from some young lads who have obviously fell foul of this new rule.

The old stats roll out, what Larry failed to mention was he also makes more tackles than anyone else in rovers team and as a prop he's made the most of any in the league. So it could be said he's putting himself in the positions to tackle. So on that stat he's the best prop in the league..... just proves you can make the stats say what they like.

Surely the stats say that the prop who makes the most tackles, yards and tackle busts is the best. Playing prop is more than just tackling. Are you justin morgan by any chance?

The stats can be manipulated to say what you like, Larry stated Rhys was a poor prop purely because he misses tackles, I was just trying to counter that with a stat that says for a prop he's made more than anyone else in SL.
I agree yards, tackle busts and tackles are probably a props key stats. Rhys is the top performer on each of those stats for our team therefore making a bit of a mockery of what a Larry said regarding him being not worthy of a new contract.
Still it allows the sheep to quote the aussie only conspiracies regardless of facts so we'll go along with that for now.
