Defenders: Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock.
Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Forwards: Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney.
I'd leave the ones in bold out. Capello will drop Warnock, Parker, Bent, Wright-Phillips, Cole, Dawson and Huddlestone I'd say.

Those in bold to miss out IMO.
Carragher- has he played since the last world cup? Can't believe he's even in 30 man squad, turns his back on his country, not as if he's had a good season really.
Warnock- May be biased but i'd have Baines as they second left back to A Hole.
Carrick- Not been at his best this season, too much quality infont of him.
J Cole- Not played enough club football, many better performers ahead of him.
Parker- Gave 110% for West Ham but not upto England standard.
Walcott- Between him and Wright- Phillips...gotta feeling Fab will pick Theo but too many times his final ball lets him down.
Heskey- No doubt he'll go and be Rooney's partner upfront but can;t score and he's a striker...hmmm.

I'd drop: Warnock - Baines is much better in my honest opinion. Dawson - Not a bad player, was a choice between him and Upson. Adam Johnson - too inexperienced at international level. Parker - not international quality, only looked good in a poor West Ham team. Huddlestone - not international quality. Heskey - doesn't score enough goals. Joe Cole - hasn't played enough at club level this season.
My starting XI to win us the World Cup :
1. David James
2. Glen Johnson 5. Rio Ferdinand 6. John Terry 3. Ashley Cole
7. Shaun Wright-Phillips 4. Steven Gerrard 8. Frank Lampard 11. James Milner
Johnson, Cole, Walcott and Cole/Milner all have enough in their engines to keep our flanks occupied, and allow us a really flexible formation. It also allows Gerrard and Lampard to play in their natural positions. Rooney doesn't exactly struggle up front on his own does he? The decision between Cole and Milner is a tight one and I really hope Barry is fit as the likely alternative (Carrick) is awful.
Crouchy and Adam Johnson off the bench offer us some real game changing abilities and if King can be fit for the whole tournament I'd even consider sitting him in front of the back 4.
4-4-2 with Gerrard on the left is UTTERLY ridiculous. If he goes 4-4-2......are you ready? Get the quotations ready......Gerrard shouldn't start on current form.

I agree 100%. There's no point shoehorning him in on the left just for the sake of getting him in the side, because he just hasn't performed to the level he can this season

Don't agree actually. He's been an international player in the making for many years now, and he's had a superb season this year. I still vividly remember watching him play for the under 15's years back and thinking that he was some player. I think he was alongside Stephen Schumacher in midfield whose career went the opposite way
