He has some horrible party tricks, as you say, including drinking a pint of someone elses sick ha ha.

He ended up wing/centre at Fev when he first came and was behind Tommy Saxton at FB but since then Powelly has switched the pair over and his biggest threat now is Zak Hardaker for the FB spot. Zak has pace to burn, is amzing under a high ball and returns well, he just needs years under his belt. As you say the pace thing hinders Ian but at FB he can manage without that.
His defence is outstanding at times too.

I would love to see him given another crack at SL either with Rovers or Cas/Wakey but I cant see him considering it for the money he would probably be offered. Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

He is very Tom Briscoe like in the fact he looks skinny but is so strong. Must be that tough mining water!!

To be fair he will get much stronger with age and he could do with a few kg putting on but he is gonna be some player.

Was embarrassing watching him play Reserves last season, he was a 16 year old looking like an International against 21/22 year old lads.

As far as I know they are just so impressed with Zak he cant get back into contention, same with Liam Welham.

Zak made his debut (I think) against Wire away and scored there as Fev racked up more points than any SL team has all year. I think Powell has just kept things unchanged. Because of what happened against the French there will be changes but Zak scoring two (as did Hardman) it would be harsh to drop either because their defence was bang on. It was the other side that looked suspect.

Steely is a good pro so I imagine he will just get on with it and win his place back.
