As for Rhys, he had a mare really, dropping passes, albeit sometimes tough ones. I see he has shaved his Billy Idol locks off after the Bratfud game. Good idea as he had a bad one there too and with that hair people notice more!
All the rubbish on other posts about sacking Justin...absolute tosh. Keep with him who is there better we can afford TBH? After a reasonable clearout this winter, hopefully a better season next. Many people have said this is a holding season so lets be more patient and sensible and less over-reactive, fickle and volatile, leave that for the FC Forums!
The licencing system is there for seasons like this, i.e. no relelgation and chances to blood youngsters and at a risk of some more paggerings I fear if we did, as I don't really think the quick fixes lie there, but if we tried them we must expect some more like yesterday I fear. Unlike Saints who just seem to roll them consistently off the production line going by yestedays line-up. Awesome!
Developing your own talent is the way forward for any team that wants to succeed long term.
Saints yesterday had only 2 overseas players in their 17, Flannery and Big Tony.
Teams like Saints and Wigan should not be allowed to send players out on dual contracts to other clubs, how do you think local players think when someone comes in and takes their place in the team, It seems Castleford will accept anyone from anywhere for any length of time.
The standard of rugby has leveled out, but the standard IMHO has gone down not up, compared to the NRL, (not forgetting, they in fact allow their ageing/over the hill players ply their trade here) we are miles behind them in terms of being competative.
