a think the general feeling is that you need a 6 and as there's few uk players available Webster and galea will be sacrificed.

Because of their ages they will need replacing within three years anyway, As you say we need a 6 I,Anson may be the long term solution but for that to happen we will need a top number 7 who can lead the side on his own & bring him on, Then by the time he needs replacing we might find our own number 7 locally. Whatever happens it will be interesting to watch.

He looks a prospect but with Galea, Webster & Dobson gone Rovers could afford the best, getting them to come is another thing. Would we go for Ratchford from Salford ? or do like FC & get a wise old head for a year or two to hopefully pass on his craft to younger players, Lee Breirs name keeps popping up. As I say it will be interesting to watch. It is interesting that the Giants seem to have got three of Englands best young half's tied up. The young man from Wests might go well if Dobson stays but would he come if he got chance of regular games at home?

Whilst his talent there he's finding it hard to get get a start. He's 4/5th choice at the tigers for some reason.
ATM thurston is ooc and let's say cronk has to leave storm.
Thurston has been offered $700,000 a season (£422,000)
Cronks earning $350,000 (£211,000)
if cronk leaves storm he'll be able to get $500,000 (£302,000) at another nrl club.
Add to that they'd have to give up rep jerseys I'd say the chance of getting a top one isn't a real option.

If at all possible I wouldn't like us to off-load Webster, even Galea as he is such a key player for us but as he aint getting any younger, it may just be the right time for him to head back home.
We are in desperate need of an off-half for next season though!
I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell
