Info on the North stand, has always involved talk of multiple partners. The council would be one and a very important one. there'd be commercial input too, I'd imagine. And I think there may have have been mention of an application for an EU grant (there goes a huge swing to UKIP in West Hull ).
Yeah I've read that but I'm pretty sure the council have said it's all gone on repairing buildings etc after the floods.
If you can't get the funds required for the north stand and are still awaiting the funds for the small extension on the east why do people seem to think you'll be able to get the funds for a new stadium?
EDIT: scrap that they have around 100m according to this report from 2008

One reporter decided that East Hull needs a new stadium and with very little thought about funding and other major elements wrote an article and started a poll, this new stadium wont be talked about anymore in 2 weeks time.
“It’s like an alarm clock’s gone off, and I’ve just got to get away. I think it was John Lennon who said: “Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.”, and that’s how I feel. Although he also said: “I am the Walrus I am the eggman” so I don’t know what to believe.”

I've thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?

the council may well ''assist'' with the finance, but wont throw endless amounts at it.mr crossland may well have to stump up some more dough.

That article was published on 16th September 2008 - the day after Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy. I wonder how well the Council's investments in the money markets have fared since. Less well, I'd assume.

Where is the funding coming from for this stadium?
There is no funding coming from anywhere for this stadium because, as it stands, it doesn't exist and isn't currently on the agenda.
It may seem a bit 'pie in the sky', but I wouldn't want the club to invest heavily in Craven Park only to realise 5/10/15 years down the line that we really should've put the money into a new stadium that would benefit the club and community.
Personally, I can't see it happening and think the club and council will continue to press on with plans to develop CP, but if nothing else I suppose this interest and the petition will at least get that question asked and hopefully make sure the correct course of action is taken.

Mark Fewings is not a reporter, he started at hull daily mail as a cleaner found and pencil and note pad in the bin and started writing about his love for household pets.
The rest is history.
