Can anyone who know how the computer systems in bookies (Carney's Pint??) give me some advice om the following:
Most of my bets are done on line but yesterday, whilst out, I did a couple of £5 ew bets on the Scottish National. One of which was No Panic @ 50/1, which got a place.
Looking at my slip this morning, on the copy that they give me back, the 'No Panic' bit is so feint it is almsost unreadable, in fact, if I didn't know what it said, I would struggle to read it myself. It almost looks like I have written it on in pencil after the event (I haven't).
Do the bookies keep my original slip or is it just scanned? In which case I doubt the horse name will be visible.
I don't know how it came out so feint as the time of the race etc is ultra clear but accept it's totally my fault for not checking whilst still in the shop.
Am I wasting my time making a trip to claim my winnings? Could I claim my stake back as a void bet.
Please advise this numpty. Glad it didn't win now
