Leigh travel to face Limoux on Saturday, with Salford visiting Catalans Dragons the following day.

After their flight to Carcassonne was cancelled on Thursday, Leigh opted to drive to Folkestone for an overnight stay before boarding the Eurostar train to France on Friday morning.

Leigh chief executive Allan Rowley said: "Today's volcanic eruption has caused chaos across Europe and unfortunately it became apparent at lunchtime that flying to France was no longer an option.

"Today has been a real challenge for us but, in the end, happily we managed to find some transport and are now on our way to Carcassonne."


so it appears that Leigh decided on it rather than the Rugby league.

any news on how the team are getting there.....and if they dont what will happen.

Just spoke to one of the players on is way to Salford and he says they r traveling by coach 25 hours plus so not ideal preparation but hey ho they will just get on with it

lets hope the travel sickness ones are fully dosed up and they sleep all the way there...

At least we had a Plan B to fall back on, but its not only the travelling down its the journey back, hopefully they will be able to fly by Monday if not looking at Thursday before they can get training again good job we have a Sunday game next.
