Didn't expect to lose today and certainly not but the margin it was.
I can see why Featherstone are top of the league - they did almost everything right.
We look like a team low on confidence at the moment and devoid of ideas.
The only thing Featherstone should worry about is losing Daryl to the England job, his credentials are as dood as some of the others being mentioned.
As for the Lane, a good sized crowd today but it feels strange somehow.
Ditch the dancers in blue please. The Eaglettes have been there sun, rain and snow and should not be playing second fiddle to the others. The announcer was a bit wooden too, you don't need to wear a suit like that for a Rugby League game.
Daryl Powell was in his tracksuit (working clothes) with his team before the game clearly advising and instructing, our coach was busy with his other role in suit and tie........

Unacceptable performance on a day we really needed to stand up and be counted. Confidence is clearly low and it's goona be intresting next week that's for sure.
Lane: Alright I guess. Communication from he club about the arrangements for this game were poor. Didn't apreciate the communist steward who tried to stop us sitting in a block of totally empty seats. It says on my season card "unreserved seating". So sorry mate, I'll sit where I chuffing want to sit!

Oh know what ABE I couldn't agree with u more, abt the CL's and Tubby! I stayed after the match to try and calm myself down before I got back to my car, had I have left any ealier. I would have
1. Punched some1 2. Got in the car and rammed some other poor unsuspecting driver. 3. Drove my car onto the tram tracks at Town End!
God I wish it didn't have this effect on me, I'm gonna take up drinking at the game, that way if we r crap I won't give a crap!
I waited and waited, the Eagles were warming down, I thought Tubby will b here in a min. But no, no sign o him, I know we lost and I was angry but I felt he should at least go n see the lads. They looked void of any moral, and I can't imagine it being lifted if we carry on this way. Fev were lucky at times, but heaps ahead of us in attack. Daryll was never far away in the second half and was there long after the whistle went with his lads. We are good enough, we just need to start believing it, a bit of support play wouldn't go a miss. Mitch broke the line a couple of times to find no one there.

Oh and I thought Bramall Lane was excellent actually, really enjoyed the screen and the atmosphere was 10x better than it has ever been at Don Valley, shame about the jokers on the pitch.

I liked BL much more too, Screen, atmosphere, pitch and that fact you could see the players. Although I wish I'd never looked at times, god we needed 2 win today. Thought it was unfair on our Eaglettes. And the man on the mic was a right muppet. I've bit all my f nails off and now my fingers hurt! Grrrrrrrr

it did seem strange but it will be the norm in a couple of weeks, ten times better than don Valley,Liked the platinum suite with the bar,two tv plasmas with the match on,Really needed a good game today to ignite and keep the interest frankly it was 4 out of 10 stuff,Too many players falling off tackles, that ritchie Barnett looks as though he hasnt played the game before never mind missing two years,We didnt look as fit as Featherstone either which is a worry. Why are we constantly kicking on the 4th tackle,All we doing is tackling more and useing more energy,They were gaining far more yards than us so why waste a tackle.

I think you are all being a little hard on the team. I have only been watching NL rugby on Sky this year, and that was the first time I have watched the Eagles, but I was relatively impressed. A few brain farts, but over all, a very good effort and a decent performance.
The stadium was superb - I am of course used to sitting in a 1 stand-open-ground following Harlequins, but today was miles better for me. Had an excellent seat, great view, and the atmosphere wasn't too bad, although the majority of Sheffield supporters, I guess, are still in the "curious" stage, and don't really make a lot of noise?
With regards to the team, is Yere very unfit or do you intentionally avoid giving the ball to him? Thought Tangi Ropati was a decent player too, and that Thackeray looked dangerous but needs to have more confidence in himself. Szostak looked good too - I would happily take those players for Quins tbh
This is my 3rd year in Sheffield and visiting DV never appealed to me - but I will be back for the next league game at BL for sure
