Well, we'll have to agree to differ on that one then, but I have distinct memories of passes clearing the South Stand during his time there, and his left to right passing is worse than Cap'n Hook's.
Over all though, the negatives of him playing
anywhere other than in the second row far outweigh the positives. I like Chev as a player but he doesn't have the foot work, rugby brain or off the mark explosive pace to play in the halves. Where he's best is exploiting smaller players and blasting them out of the way through the second row and centre channels.
Think back to last year and how many times he got stood up by centres with
any sort of footwork out wide (I'm thinking Paul Sykes at home for goodness sake) and imagine him defending in the middle of the park against the likes of Eastmond or Burrow. As for a kicking game, I'm covering my eyes at the slightest thought of it.
No, I think we need to look else where.
