Saints offered one year, and a reduced salary.

Cripes, more hits on here than a Cooke thread.
I may as well put my sixpennorth in.I was perturbed to say the least upon hearing the news. I thought maybe the board would have hung fire at least over Easter.Agar is our coach though, like it or not ,so maybe we should cut him some slack and see how it pans out this season?
Still no sign of Jake the Peg b.t.w.....getting worried now.

I have no doubt, in fact I can see next season as a player, season after as assistant and take over as coach in 2012.
We'll see, all I want is a successful FC, I have no faith that is about to happen with the decision that has been made, but it's been made.

from an outside point of view i thought your board would see the season out with agar, whilst trying to find a top coach your support deserves for next season and on. your board has made some good signings, you have a top class stadium with the support to go with it, but the facts are most of the top clubs have overseas coaches and it has been proven that the british coaches ie the likes of cullen, mcdermott, lowes, karl harrison just don't seem to be able to cut it along with agar, it's early days for us at wigan but we seem to be vastly improving under mcguire and it seemed the logical step for you guys to follow suit.

The difference being, the Wigan board seem to want to win things.
