You are a right to a certain degree, most of the criticism has been constructive but there has been a fair amount unwarranted personal abuse also.
I like many other think he is doing a decent job so far this season and recruited well last season, the question is whether or not he is capable of taking us to the very top, which is where we should be aiming. Only time will tell I guess but if he gets top 6 this season then that has to be regarded as success considering where we finished last season.

same here, a 6th place finish shouldn't be called success, progress from the last two seasons maybe, only if we win a trophy we should be calling it a successful season

4th that said i personally dont think we will even make 6th.
The similarities to last season are alarming as it seems yet again we have been 'found out' by oppositions due to the way we play to the same structures week in week out and never deviate from it. In tomorrows game all we will keep seeing in Rovers 20 is a left shift with Long having to option of hitting Manu/Hame flat or go back door to Tansey on a wedge. I'll be stunned if we dont see that structure at least 8 times in the game on tackle 3.

Success is maybe the wrong word, but it would certainly be progress after our previous two seasons. You can't just go from bottom four to top four.

At the risk of being pedantic, Catalan Dragons did (they actually went bottom 3 to top 3, although that was in the 12 team league).

I honestly can't see how we have the 4th best squad in SL. We only have one (injured) winger for a start. And the rest of the outside backs are a bit hit and miss.

when he is in the media spot light he comes across as a lightweight and uninterested, even on FCTV he sounds like he cant be bothered, some of us see that as simply that!!
