I think the board are scared stiff of getting a coach with proven ability who will tell them to stuff off and mind their own business when it comes to team affairs, and not the 'don't whip me masser' we've got at the moment.All we get are assistants after assistant. Listening to his pre match and post match interviews the lack of passion and any sort of desire is frightening, I hate to think how rivetting his team talks must be! And we wonder why the teams over the last few seasons seem to have had a lack of motivation.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

When i woke up this morning i said to the wife i had a terrible nightmare last night that the club had signed Agar on another two year deal. However upon checking my inbox i realised that the night before was a horrible reality. Our club is the only club who can create an april fools joke like this but forget to add "Haha April Fools" at the end of it. I have been on the fence regarding Agar for a while now and to be frankly honest he has done nothing for me to get off the fence and in his corner and i suspect the majority of the fans feel exactly the same way. So for the club to extend his contract for a further 2 years is nothing short of a disaster PR wise.
The player retention argument is a load of hogwash, as has been said by many, players come for the money first and foremost.
If we win tomorrow will we all instantly think it is a good decision to get him signed up before someone poaches him?? No i don't think so i for one wont suddenly become Agars no 1 fan if he manages a rare win over them. Surely the board would have been wiser holding off till the next 4 very important games are out of the way at the very least.

Agree with that the decision has been made too early especially in light of the inconsistencies of performance in recent times.

I actually don't have a problem with the way he comes over in the media. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how he is at training sessions or team talks - some people just don't shine in the media spotlight.

Looking at the award of a 2yr deal for Agar I really cant see what the board have seen in him or what he has done to actually EARN another 2 years. We are a club with everything else on the up except on the pitch and yet the board just seem happy to settle for mediocrity AGAIN!! After looking forward to a new start this season after the clear out and the arrival of Long, Fitz, O'Meley and Moore I am now thinking and feeling that this season is going to be another we will want to forget.
