Plaudits to the coach for sticking to his guns.
Holdsworth/Smith brilliant.
Now for heavens sake, give him a break and look at Ratchford for what he is -- very promising, not the Messiah.

PS Excellent display by the whole team,I just hope the eye gouging was truly accidental

Turner really ripped us apart tonight in his preferred position didn't he? Well done to the players and the coach for yesterdays win. Was a surprise to see gibson on the bench instead of ratchford though. My uncle is on the coaching staff of the academy and i asked him about the ratchford situation and he told me mcrae doesn't like stef, dont know if he meant as a person or the way he plays, also he said they were all called into a meeting on tuesday night where mcrae was given 4 games to turn it around by the board. They were shown stats of all the teams from junior to first team from the past 2 years, and it shows improvement all the way up apart from the first team. I guess the kick up this backside worked?

Bet your uncle is really pleased about you giving private information on a public message board.
However if it is true about Ratchford then McRae really is as much of a joke as I thought he was.

When Ratchford has been dropped twice, and we've won both games, it's very difficult to justify criticism of the coach's decision.

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

I know a SL club looking for a number 6 with some cash floating round.
Does anyone know if Ratchford fancies playing in the play offs this year?

Seriously though with Brough gone and Mr Kear being a fan of SR could a deal be at all possible in your opinion?

I love this city,

We get a week out, without a doubt,
gunna sing it out loud.

I'd hazard a guess that Wakefield will do as much in the transfer market with the money they made from Brough as we did with Myler.

Not trying to bash Wakefield or anything because they do have better 'pulling power' than us in getting players to their club but they've had their own problems in keeping their own British talent. If Ratchford went, he'd go to a club with more money. Either way, it's a stupid question, he's not going to leave mid season - he's been off form and will probably be back in the squad sooner rather than later.

I think a spell in the U20s - much less pressure, but still remaining part of the club is not a bad thing. As soon as you send a player out on loan, you are basically saying that there isn't a first team spot for them - and I'm sure Stef will get his chance again - it's a long season, we will get injuries, we need quality players available to come into the squad
