Great win tonight

Shame that the game co-incided with United playing due to the scheduling but a much better atmosphere this week despite the lack of numbers.

Much more aggression in the forwards - Jewitt and Sidlow particularly seem to be getting better as the season goes on and I thought they were very good tonight, Parker as well.

Thought in the first half we could have had more points on the board, made a couple of good breaks but seemed to panic every time thinking we had to score there and then, so instead we flung the ball aimlessly instead of taking the tackle.

It seems like we targetted that left hand side in the 2nd half with the young kid (Lyne?) on his debut which led to Broughton's two tries, both of which probably should have been dealt with from a Hull perspective.

Great play by Tyrer with the palm back for Fitzy's try.

I thought having Gibson on the bench was a bit of a waste of time. He came on at hooker but his ball distribution from dummy half seems just as slow, if not slower than Alker's.

Seems strange how, just as we did last season, we put in several previous poor performances and then we beat Hull the week before we play Warrington on Good Friday. Who knows, maybe the result will go our way again this year...or more likely not

I'll probably watch the highlights later to get a better look at some of the action as well.

Agree the atmosphere was a lot better but its no coincidence that passion on the field transfers to the terraces.

Our pack were outstanding against talented opposition. Sidlow impressed and he outshone Craig Fitzgibbon who is one of the best second row forwards in the game.

Great play by Tyrer for Fitz's try and a fantastic match winning tackle by Talau when it looked like Whiting was going to score at the end

Roll on Good Friday

Well its nice to celebrate a win at home after a long wait. Attitude, commitment and effort cannot be faulted. On first look it felt like we tried to be more creative and some of the skills on show were good to see. a great comeback after the Wakey result. On the down side i guess that if we had lost tonight it would have been very frustrating as we would have been the architect of our own downfall. We still make to many errors and gave up field position a little cheaply. But it would be very harsh to be over critical after a performance of such heart and guts. And though i doubt Our coach has silenced all his critics i will say well done..we targetted weakness in Hull well and were rewarded..and have our two wins come when Ratchford (of who i am a big fan) has not played?. well done to everyone tonight

How could I forget Talau's tackle, still can't believe they didn't score there!

Also, how was Holdsworth's kick after the opening try given? I'm sure it quite clearly drifted wide, not that I'm complaining or anything

I noticed that the touch judges hesitated before raising their flags. I wish I had recorded it, will have to sky + the re run of the game which is on in the early hours.

I hope the performance will encourage a few more of the faithful to travel to Warrington on Friday.

So do I. Good Friday and all that. Should have several hundred at least from Salford there. Like to see a couple of thousand. Got too many bad memories of Good Fridays past to be over confident, but we seem to be battering teams up the middle and then throwing it out wide to some very classy 3/4s. I am sure Littler will score a try next week.

From the off tonight we were quicker in defence and with the ball in hand. We played with agression and attacking intent. Infact all the things we have not been doing all season. Yeah we still made errors but I would rather we played in the style we did tonight every week than the boring grinding displays seen thus far. Had we lost tonight I would have come away disappointed but not have been unhappy. Tonight we showed we can entertain. Let's hope this is the start of a more positive approach. Well done Reds.

More like it tonight , from the start we actualy looked as though we wanted to be there, The whole team showed great commitment across the field , heads stayed up when we went behind.
Talau`s try saving tackle near time gets him my mom award .
