We need a Malc replacement full stop
Ratchford to 20s is a joke.
I never thought I would say this but I hope we do get leathered so it is yet another nail in McRaes coffin

Careful PR - Bonita & Jay will be on supporting this plain daft decision.

Is there no thought at all about what this is doing to Stef? He couldnt have achieved much more last week when he came on yet.........................back to the 20s. Soul destroying and we deserve to lose him.

As for Malcolm the move to make him Assistant Coach has only increased his Power Wielding base for his chums. To play Stuart Littler in the team instead of ANY of our up and coming lads in the 20s in this non threatening season (no relegation) is barmy.

Its becoming a soap opera.

your just a muppet! did i say not play him? all i said was that he deserved to be dropped because he wasn't playing well, ratchford/m smith didn't work, ratchford/holdsworth didn't work, so he tried holdsworth/m smith and what do you know, we won! Not saying he's a bad player, just that he wasn't playing well. Just coz he is one of our best youngsters does that mean he cant get dropped? Personally i want him on the bench tomorrow coz of jezza being suspended.

Holdsworth / M Smith we lost so on this basis one of them should be dropped
Ratchford is a SO pure and simple.
BTW expect today to see another player our coach ruined excelling today in his preferred position.

OK Jay Kermit here. At least I have played the game (albeit very low level) and understand the psyche of a player unreasonably sidelined and maybe you should go to some away games instead of making wild comments on others who have attended & understand the game.

As PR said last weeks partnership failed totally and we never saw Matty all game and Ratch ran the show when he came on with the game lost. When Matty came on loan we were advised that he was also an ideal #9 off the bench so really I cannot see why the club dont stick to their original thoughts. Mind you since then Malcolm has been made assistant coach. Mmm.

As for Jordan I think he will revel in the conditions and I expect the faithful to give him a big ovation win lose or draw.

I agree with Jaymc9 that Ratchford deserved to be dropped against Harlequins, partly because our half-back pairing wasn't working and partly because he had been poor.

The fact that we won without Ratchford goes someway to justify dropping him; the fact that he came back last week and played much better is even further evidence that it was a good move. As unpopular as it may be, it certainly suggests that McRae might know what he's doing.

Dropping Ratchford this week is far more of a surprise (although I don't remember seeing anyway that Jaymc9 thought it was a good idea to drop him again?) However McRae seems to have got it right with Ratchford once, so perhaps he has done so again - only time will tell.

No-one on here (every those who have played RL at a very low level) have anything to suggest that they're a better coach than McRae so, just because some disagree, doesn't make it wrong.

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

p****ed myself last night as he questioned Wigans replacement policy and how it could really affect them in the second half and leave them with tired players. First half score 6 points, second 18 points, even Sky must now realise that the Salford Coach is clueless, he is there to make the scouser and the Yorkie sound like then know what they are talking about.

oh where are wigan? :SHOOT: :SHOOT:
