We need to hold on to our club trained players. Hull don't have a quota spot. I'm struggling to see many suitable swaps.
I know it has been a time of plenty for Hull, but with G. Horne, King and Lee all just left, Hull maybe have to start thinking for the first time about the club-trained rule -not for the immediate future but 3, 4, 5 years down the line. Letting Hall, Washbrook and Houghton leave in one go, whether to Rovers or elsewhere, would be massively profligate.

Too much competition at the moment with Clint, Benny, Cooke, Nev.

Possibly so, I'm just pointing out that we're yet to see Hall really establish himself as a regular SL centre, whereas we have with Welham. That could be down to coaching, selection issues, attitude - until he proves himself somewhere, potential doesn't mean an awful lot.
I also said that I agree with most on here who think Hall is the more talented of the two and I'd quite like to see him given a fresh start at Rovers, but I think calling Welham a 'liability' and 'not good enough' is somewhat harsh given what he has achieved.

I doubt it mate, in 4 or 5 years time i expect our backline to be J. Briscoe R. Lynne K. Yeaman T. Briscoe D. Tuffour
Also with the other Briscoe in the back row with Mike Burnett and players like Cunningham coming through i don't think we need worry too much
