From a Rovers POV, why Hall may be dissatisfied or willing to countenence a move, is less of an issue than how he'd fit into the HKR team, if it were true. From what I've gathered from seeing him play the odd game and views on here, he's a centre and a centre only - and better on the left than the right. As a clubbed trained player, regarded by independent experts as one of the two best centres is SL last year, Welham's place is surely guaranteed for years to come. I guess Webster may be a victim of the falling quota - would Welham move to RC to replace Webster and accomodate Hall?

When you say 'independent' you obviously mean independent of any knowledge of RL. Welham, by no stretch of the imagination is one of the best two centres in SL. He is a good centre, yes but, there are at least 10 in front of him for that title.

The choice of Rugby League World Magazine for their team of the year.

Yes and yes.
I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell

My point was that he had looked great in the centres, he was moved to the wing to cover Calderwood and was then dropped on his return rather than been moved back to centre where he had looked great.

I would have hall over welham any day. I think you will get hall as well, and I will be disappointed if you do so.
